# Private release usage for Rust

For more information on how to get started with the AWS SDK for Rust, [see the documentation](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sdk-for-rust/latest/dg/getting-started.html).

If you encounter problems or wish to provide feedback, notify the point of contact in the emailed instructions for this private release.

## What's included in the preview build

Unzip the `awsSdkRust.zip` preview build artifact. You’ll see the following folders:

- **aws-models**: This contains all the Smithy `.json` files that were present at build time.
- **sdk**: This is the important folder containing all SDKs that were built, including your preview SDK.
- **tests**: This folder contains non-service-specific tests. You can ignore these.
- **tools**: This folder contains tools that the SDK uses to produce SDKs. You can ignore these.

## **Adding preview build crates as a dependency to a Rust crate**

To write Rust code that depends on a preview build crate, you'll need to use [path dependencies](https://doc.rust-lang.org/cargo/reference/specifying-dependencies.html#specifying-path-dependencies).

In your crate, add a path dependency to the preview build crate, i.e.:

```
[package]
name = "some-crate"
version = "0.1.0"
edition = "2021"
[dependencies]
aws-sdk-dynamodb = { path = "/<path to artifact>/awsSdkRust/sdk/dynamodb" }
```
